Holiday Part 2!

Wednesday:

We went back to Skye today, I didn't get many photos as we didn't do all that much there in the end and it rained a lot, but we still had an enjoyable day. :) We visited a museum and had a brief visit to Portree, then had a nice meal afterwards.

Thursday:

Today the highlight of our day was a treasure hunt! My mum and dad set it up for us while we were out having lunch in a nearby cafe. It was lots of fun and there were even a few souvenir prizes along the way. :) I wish the week hadn't flown by so fast so we could make one for them too.

Loved it, so much fun. :) The teapot was mainly for Martin and his tea addiction from my very thoughtful mum. He usually just has his tea in a giant mug, but on holiday they had a tea pot and he has since learned that he can make one pot and keep using it for 3+ cups of tea in one session! The mini whisk is for our pancake addiction and the dolphin and octopus are now on our mantelpiece. Proud to be young at heart!

Friday:

Today we visited the beautiful Eileen Donan Castle. We'd seen it many times but never been inside it before. We were very impressed! They don't allow photos to be taken inside but the way it was all set out was really well done. I highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting the area. :)

Saturday:

The week flew by and the weather was more rainy than not, but we managed to do everything we wanted to do and see so I don't feel that it spoiled anything too much. :) I had flanned to read some in the evenings and that didn't happen, and I had hoped to write some more to a story I started years ago but haven't touched in at least 2 years. It's one of my life's ambitions to finish that book! It means a lot to me as it was an idea I had at an early age, although it has evolved and changed over the years the original idea is the same. :) I'd even done some artwork for it a few years back. It will happen one of these days!

I miss the dark nights and the peaceful loch. There was always something to see even if it was just the changing weather! Sadly didn't get to see the seal or any porpoises, but was happy with what did visit.

Thanks for reading. :) xxx
