Hello! It's been a long day, but in a good way. It's been a nice one. :)
We started off in a bit of a tizzy as my dad had left his front door keys in his front door and we had to go save them before someone stole them or his new telly or you know moved in to their house! All was well thankfully but I was certainly a bit worried. It did mean that we were going in a completely different direction to normal so it ended up changing our flans. Which worked out nice.
After key saving we went to the next village along for some lunch. I took a quick photo of the palace there:
After that we were off again and stopped at a park I'd not been to in a while... It'd changed, but still looked nice. It was a short break there but it looks like it'd have been a nice walk of we'd had time:
And one of me looking very round! Must go back on the diet... I keep saying I will and not doing it. :( Food gets a grip of me!
Martin and my Dad. :) (Can you see who I get the food thing from? ;) )
I didn't get a photo, but on the way we drove past "my tree". It only means something to us, but it is a little tree high up on the side of a hill, clinging for dear life to a rock. It's been there since I was little and we always look out for it while going that way. It always makes me smile to see it still clinging on and alive! It's a very hardy little tree. :) I bet it's unnoticed by everyone else, but we see you little tree, don't give up!
We went to an animal park and it was really nice. Different from our usual beach walks or putting, and fun with feeding the animals and trying to spot some of the shy ones! Bit of a drive however.
These poor things looked very sad. They came over and put their heads on the wooden bit and looked really depressed. :( I wanted to take his wee hand and say something soothing! (But the signs said they bite, so I didn't.)
The meerkats were my favourite, they liked to pose. :)
And this little lady was very keen! You can see her baby in the background and it looked like it was smiling, so cute. :)
We gave her lots of food and attention but she still tried to make off with the whole bag. ;)
There were pigs too:
There were others but I didn't get photos of everything (some where hiding in their enclosures) and some photos didn't turn out, these were the best of the bunch. There were peacocks, geese, chickens, chicks, bunnies, guinea pigs, prairie dogs, sheep, ponies, donkeys, a wild cat (which looked adorable curled up asleep... Not very wild at all. ;) ) and various things I can't remember or couldn't spot!
It was a really nice day though and nice to do something a little different. When we got back home we continued out musical movie theme with War of the Worlds the musical which just arrived in the post this morning! Had seen it once before but wanted to see it again, it didn't disappoint. :)
Tomorrow, I have a hare to make and a guinea pig to photograph and a card to send! :)
