Had another day off today as my parents came to visit.
We headed off to check on the bramble situation again. I had a go on that swing thing that I missed out on last time as the park was empty!
I can now see what Martin meant when he said it was comfy!
Next, we went on the search for some brambles to pick. I don't like them, and afterwards my dad said he doesn't like them much either, but we got quite a lot. Martin's going to make himself some jam. :)
We went to the other place as well, but there were none there that were ripe!
I look a bit tired here, not sure why. :)
And this is one of us saying "Moo"... We are a bit strange, but this is what we do. :)
Pretty flower by the path!
And this was peculiar. A pigeon, with a large twig landed in this tree. Not a huge tree and we all stood there looking at it for a while as it sat there with it's twig looking like it was wanting to build a nest there. It stared back at us for a while, then just after I took this photo it tried to fly out of the tree but we think its twig (still in its beak) got caught and it did this sideways trying-to-fly-but-failing thing and was coming right for us sort of stumbling/falling/flapping through the air! I closed my eyes and put my arms up to cover my face (I am a wimp when anything comes even remotely near my face at speed) but it flew/fell right in to my dads face. He was OK but we found it really funny afterwards. It looked so silly trying to flap about while falling sideways. Oh, and it dropped it's stupid twig at our feet. Bet he was so embarrassed! :D
After that hilarity we were a bit hungry so went to get fish and chips. This car was in the car park:
It looked really interesting and I have no interest in cars! (Unless it's perhaps an original Mini Cooper.)
I took this in the chip shop knowing that I'd have eaten them before remembering to take a photo. ;)
And ice cream for afters! I had orange and chocolate, which when mixed made a lovely chocolate orange. :) Very yummy!
Martin had kiwi and blackberry. Dad had the same as me but with an extra scoop of strawberry and mum doesn't eat ice cream at all.
It was a nice day, as usual. :) Really must get back to felting tomorrow though! I miss it! And my clay supplies are still slowly arriving, when I have them all I'll have a play. One thing might not arrive for a week or more yet though. Patience is not my strong point, but I'll try. ;)
Take care,
