Simple joys, entry 88.

Then painting it, which is something I don't do very often anymore:

And then I had to figure out how to attach the head and hands (and later the shoes!) to a frame to then felt a body onto! All very interesting and new for me, but tricky as I am not good at planning ahead. If I was I'd have made one of her hands in a gripping position.

A nice mix of clay and felt. Her cat and floor are both felted, but her broom, walking stick, table and cauldron are made of clay.

She behaved for the photos but she really doesn't like to stand. Maybe she'd need propped up somehow. Her little table makes for a nice stool though so she can sit with her cat on her knee and her potion bubbling happily away. :)

I will try another doll type make in the future but she is a one off. I may make another witch one day but she'll have a completely different personality and accessories and I love that fact. This one is very unique and special. :)

Now I am working on a vampire bear which I hope to finish tomorrow!
