My mum and dad came to visit again yesterday and the day before they had phoned us to say that they wanted to treat us to a meal in the village next to the one we live in and asked if we could book a table for the 4 of us.
My dad is rather shy and doesn't like a lot of tables full of people too close when he is eating, so Martin (who is always thinking of others) suggested we take a walk to the hotel and look around to see which table would be the most suitable for us.
We locked our front door and walked just a tiny bit along the road when we spotted something at the side of a neighbours house. A beautiful double bed, with a sign saying "Free to a good home"... Well, you may remember my little accident with our own bed not long after we moved here. We had been sleeping on the mattress on the floor for the past month and a half... I couldn't believe what we were seeing! We didn't delay in carrying the bed home, and it's a good job we did as we would have missed out if we'd waited until after our walk. I feel very lucky that we decided to go for the walk when we did or we'd not even have seen it!
It's such a good quality bed... I really shouldn't be able to break this one. ;) I love it and it saves us a lot of money, as I say, we are so lucky. :)
After we put our lovely new bed together we walked to the hotel and booked a table that we thought would be suitable, then we went for a wander and found a little church with some very pretty flowers.
It was so quiet and peaceful there.
I really loved the colour of this one.
We showed it to my parents yesterday after our meal and I took some more photos.
This was the trunk of a monkey puzzle tree that looked like an elephants leg and foot!
These wild strawberries tasted more like raspberries.
Crafting has been a little slow since I've moved here. I am struggling a little to get back into the swing of it, at least on a regular basis. I get disheartened easily when things seem a little slow, and although I usually have a billion ideas buzzing around in my head, I still get a bit of a creative block and don't know where/what to start. But I will keep plodding along!
I woke up one morning with the urge to make a baby panda though, so I did.
He is much cuter in person, but I am happy with how he turned out!
We have been enjoying the little things in life a lot lately. Things that can be really easy to miss. Things that most people won't see. Things unique to us. It's things like that that makes us happy and I hope that we never stop noticing them and that we don't lose the ability to see them.
I woke up today to thunder, lightning and rain. It didn't last long, but the bears and me enjoyed watching it!
Thanks for reading. :)

That bed was a lucky find - it must have been meant to be! Lovely photos of the flowers and isn't your panda just the cutest!

Thank you Estelle! I agree about the bed, I feel very lucky and it may as well have had our names on it. ;) Thanks so much,
