Started off not feeling too great again today, but cracked on with the crafting and looked forward to the promise of Dessert Day later on!
Finished this little red owl, who is now available for sale. :)
I have a blue one and a pink one that still need finishing - a job for tomorrow!
After that we headed into town on a quest to find tall glasses for our ice cream dessert we wanted to put together. We looked through various charity shops (which makes up 80% of our small towns shops) but couldn't find any in any of them. We decided it was OK and we'd just use normal bowls and headed off to the supermarket for the ice cream.
But when we got there we found, well, not glasses, but plastic versions of what we were looking for! I quite like them, they are colourful. :) We got a different colour each and even got matching long spoons! Oh and an ice cream scoop which I didn't photograph and we didn't actually use. Oops. :)
Here is what we made:
They were very nice. :) They included: profiteroles in the bottom, (which we'd not thought to get but they were on offer so how could we refuse?!) followed by chocolate ice cream, then another profiterole, then honeycomb ice cream, then pieces of mixed fruit and a couple of flakes each! Much better than any restaurant could offer. :)
So, a much happier day today! We even have enough for tomorrow again. :D
