Finally, a day of organising and tidying. It feels nice, to have things in their places, knowing that when I'm back to work soon things are neat and tidy! ...I wonder how long it'll stay that way?! :)
While tidying I got to play with buttons. Most of these were my Grandmas, but some in the bag and little container are from Jacqueline of Blue Anchor Bay. There's something about a nice button collection that's really comforting.
Also while organising, I sorted out my bear "eye" container. It'd been full of other beads that I stick in there when using them from the bag so that they don't end up everywhere, but I don't really like having them in there with the eye beads. So now it is just the beads, (except for 1 or 2 strays!) but I keep a tiny bear in there because he is so tiny and I worry he'll get lost somewhere. He will make sure the beads stay in good order. :)
I have more to do but I got a huge chunk of it done today which I am happy for. I have my wool drawer to sort out next. I have colours crammed in bags with other colours with no sort of order, it makes it hard to find what I'm looking for! Plus the drawer is so full it's hard to open and close now, but there are things there that I don't use often so can move to another place. A job I will tackle tomorrow!
I've done away with the large foam pad I was using as I only use it now for putting stuff on. I don't felt on it at all anymore. I cut a small section to stick my needles in, but otherwise I have put stuff in a small box with the tools I use most regularly. It should be better as when I would carry the foam pad with all the junk on it, most of it would fall on the floor and roll under the sofa or into a corner where it'd be left till I needed to find something... Hopefully that'll not happen now! It was just encouraging me to have excess stuff that I didn't always need.
We got out to see the puppy for a little while today, but it was raining so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. We'd not seen the poor thing in a long time though so it was nice! He has definetely missed us too. :)
