Simple joys, entry 67.

Today was a slightly odd day. I don't think we should have gone out today as most of us weren't feeling too good. Dad had a bit of a cold, mum wasn't at her best and I woke up so tired today.

It was still nice to get out though, but I have a huge headache now and not sure if it's from the sun, heat or stress!

Selfie from this morning before we left:

Still really liking the curls. I think after years if straight boring hair it's such a refreshing change! They do go a bit bushy though so pigtails seems the best way to contain them, but I like it. :)

So, today we went for a little walk and then had a picnic. Martin took this one!

The picnic was yummy. :) We had ham and cheese coleslaw Poppy seed baguettes. Maybe not the healthiest choice but definetely tasty and we had the other half for dinner.

Afterwards we went to a different beach for a walk.

Lots of little bits of sea glass and found things set in concrete. Mum and dad and I always said we'd do a mosaic of some sort for their garden but have never gotten round to it! It could be fun though, flanking out a picture, picking the correct shapes and colours to add to it... Yeah, I could enjoy that. :)

It was very misty today, and warm.

Tomorrow I have another purple elephant to make, but I have decided that I'll have a little play of my new clay first as I keep saying "I'll do it later" and then I get too tired. So if I play in the morning I can make the elephant after and finish it over the weekend ready for posting on Monday. It should be better as I've been overdoing it a little bit again and could do with something a bit easier and calmer... I'm hoping the clay will be good for that.

I used to felt a lot slower than I do now and it suited me as I run out of energy fast! It makes me quite angry sometimes as I love making things but then I need days off to recover if I do too much one day. I'll find that elusive correct balance one of these days. :)
