Simple joys, entry 74.

I had a great mail day today! All the rest of my clay things arrived and I was having a day off to let my finger heal so I could have a play with it!

Firstly, these are the tools I mentioned that arrived a few days ago. I find them very useful.

They are all different sizes and some are double sided. I seem to prefer the smallest for adding details and the biggest for making indentations, so far. :)

I got some liquid clay as well to play with. It's so versatile! Not 100% sure what I'll use it for yet but I'm sure I'll have fun with it. :) The little pot is some gloss.

Here are the new colours of clue that I got: (plus black which isn't in the photo.)

These should give me a good base to work with. I can mix them to get most of the colours I'll need. :)

Next I bought some mica powders for a bit of glittery shiny fun! I bought a metallic set and I've not tried them yet but they look very pretty:

So, now that I had everything I was waiting for I could have some fun! I didn't have any idea what I wanted but I ended up making this little witches face:

 

And hands, which aren't very good, and a bit big, but I'll see if they're usable!

I then painted them:

Warts and all! She's a bit happier than I had hoped. ;) I hope to somehow add a needle felted body... Not sure exactly how yet, but I will see what I can do. This is all new to me!

It all took a while but I hope with practice I'll speed up a little. I enjoyed it and my finger seems much better so I shall be back to the felting tomorrow! I have a little dragon to start next. Not made one of those in a while. :)
