Yesterday my parents came to visit and we went for a picnic and a game of putting. :)
Unfortunately as soon as I stepped out the front door I had stabbing pains in my eyes and spent most of the journey with my eyes closed to try and stave off the migraine that was threatening me!
It did improve a lot thank goodness and we had a lovely day. :)
Mum won the putting. :) She got a hole in one too!
The park was quite busy and it was so nice to see people there with their dogs as well as their kids. A proper family day out for many. :) The weather was great, sunny but not overly warm (Martin and I struggle with heat and too much sun) a perfect autumn day!
There were lots of butterflies too, they were absolutely loving these flowers! I've not seen so many before in one place.
Both photos taken by Martin on his phone which has a slightly better camera than mine. Plus he was brave and got closer than I dared, I didn't want to scare them off. :)
Afterwards we went to a beach that we used to go to very often. It's in a little village that I was once desperate to live in but it wasn't meant to be. The beach there is so tiny and it is always changing but we are always rewarded with blue glass there! It's still one of my favourite places even though my needs and wishes have changed now that Martin and I are together. :)
He made me a heart from some wire he found and I filled it with our findings and left it there. :) We have gathered so much of it over the years that we don't really need it anymore, but it's still nice to gather even if we don't take it home.
I also found a very pretty bit of white/clear glass that has what looks like a daisy pattern on it but I forgot to take a photo... But I have it in my jacket pocket so I will show you sometime. :)
So the day started off badly but turned out very nice indeed.
Today I have been back to work and made a good start on another dog.
I should finish him tomorrow if all goes well. He is very sweet so far! I say he, but I actually don't know what it is, I forgot to ask. :( I just hope I'm doing it justice!
