Today has been a good day. I started off doing a small procedure on a penguin I made yesterday. The lady who'd like him for her daughter wanted a smaller beak. Which he now has. :D
It was relatively painless for us both. ;)
Then in the afternoon I received this wonderful lot!
It's absolutely scrumptious! Look at all those purples! I can't wait to use them. :) It'll have to wait a bit though as today I have also worked a little bit on my Halloween witch and I'd like to finish her soon.
I also decided that my cards are too plain and need more detail so I added lots to this one as a start:
I think it looks quite good. :) It'll be available on my website soon and I'll add others gradually as and when I make them. (They take quite a long time even though I reuse a lot of the graphics.)
Yesterday was shopping day and Martin bought us tons of chocolate, and he bought me a Chocolate Orange which I love! <3 We also got some crumpets after having seen them in a game and both saying Something along the lines of "Ooh, I don't remember the last time I had a crumpet..." So we kinda had to. ;) He says he likes to have melted cheese on his which I've never tried before so he is going to show me what I've been missing tomorrow!
And, since it's October (and it's flying by!) we've been watching Halloween movies on Netflix. Last night was Fright Night (the old one with Prince Humperdink) which we laughed most of the way through and today we watched Hocus Pocus. :) We have Interveiw with the Vampire on DVD and hmmm, some other scary one I can't remember the name of right now! I like having themes for things to watch. I keep meaning to put a "Cheesy 80s movie" list together and also a "80s Fantasy movie”, because after all... Who doesn't love a bit of Legend and Labyrinth and Willow?! :) Ooh, and we need to watch Star Wars again, and Indy and Back to the Future and...
I'll be working some more on the witch tomorrow and hope to make some decent progress. I'm struggling to get her to stand though even though she has pipe cleaner wires inside her body. Her head and hands and boots are clay, and so she's a little heavy in odd places... I made her a staff but she can't grip it as I never pre-flanned and thought to make her hand(s) in a gripping position. So I think she'll have to sit, but then that causes the problem of what she'll sit on that is appropriate... I'll think of something I hope. :) Either way, I'm having fun with it as it's so different to what I usually make. It's been nice to have this time to work on things I wouldn't usually have time for!
Write again soon. :)
