It's no secret that I love living by the sea. It's always been a dream of mine and I am so lucky that it has been a reality! I have a good friend who is also a big fan of all things coastal and she suggested I make a little beach hut, so I did. :)
Yesterday my parents came to visit and we went to a few of our favourite coastal villages. We had fun with random beach findings. My dad had a very fetching moustache.
And Martin found a large antler looking piece!
The Ducks were sunbathing here before we disturbed them, but then they noticed my dad was carrying a bag of cakes so they followed us for a little while.
I've been crocheting a ripple blanket and there is slightly more to it now than in this photo, but it shows the pattern:
Still very much enjoying it and seeing it take shape. Adding each new colour is exciting! It is very slow going and I only manage 2-3 rows a day though as my shoulder starts to hurt a little after much more.
Today I made 2 little guinea pigs.
They are looking for a new home (or homes) and I will be making a black and white tomorrow for an order. :)
The diet isn't going so well as we had fish and chips and ice cream when we were out with my parents, but I have no regrets, it was a lovely day. We are learning though and have decided next time to get a small portion as it was quite a lot and we were stuffed afterwards! Weigh in day is Monday so we shall see the damage then. Fingers crossed it's not too bad and we can get back on track. :) We've adjusted our diet a little bit more to be eating less carbs a day so hopefully that will also help.
Time for some more crochet! Bye for now.
