I've been trying to get a Halloween Sticker Collection done in time for October and it's been going pretty well so far. :)
Because I'm having a break from orders for a couple of weeks I have been able to alternate my days of felting and working on the graphics which is giving me a lot more time to dedicate to them. (Though, I'm still incredibly slow at it. ;) )
But I guess it really started with this little Zombear that I felted.
They are such fun to make as they get to be ugly and disgusting and it be a good thing! Which seems to break lots of rules or at least expectations and I love it!
So I made him in sticker form too, because he is lovely.
And I made a Jack O Lantern/Pumpkin.
And a witch, loosely based on a polymer clay and needle felted hybrid that I made last year as a sort of experiment.
Next I felted a little cat. I had intended for her to have a witches hat but I have run out of black felt! I've ordered some now and it should be here soon. :)
And of course I made her sticker equivalent for the collection.
I also made a Reindeer to finish off an order I had. Love making these!
Today my parents came to visit and we went to a little village that I'd never been to properly before, only passed through it. It's such a lovely place and full of old character! It is completly different from what we've been used to living by the sea and we are actually going to look inside a cottage there next week to see if it might be suitable for us. We managed to see the outside of it today and it is so cute. It has a lovely big garden ideal for a dog and the amazing part is that they will accept pets there! If you've been reading my blog for a while you'll know how difficult it's been to find a place that will allow dogs so it's a bit of a breakthrough. The downsides are that its pricier than we'd like and also potentially very small, but we will see how it goes. :) We will catch a break one of these days!
So, while there we looked for another geocache as there was one in the churchyard there.
The weather was incredible!
And there were lots of skull and crossbones graves.
I don't think they had pirates inside though.
The geocache was a bit of a sad one. A family with a young daughter who drowned in the village at the age of 2.
I left her a goldfish to keep her company.
We had lunch in a new cafe there which was very nice, would definitely go back and I was very happy to see that the village has a corner shop and a post office which are both musts!
We went to another village after that to another church and I didn't take any photos for some reason, but got these extra shots.
The berries were huge on it.
I did some graphic work when I got home and I've made this one, and some others. The collection is soon to be finished!
Tomorrow we have someone coming to fit a smoke alarm or 2 but I'll try and get some felting done. (Hoping it won't be too disruptive to my routine.)
Then on Thursday we are out for a special day trip... Something we wouldn't usually splash out on but a real treat, a sort of late birthday day out. Really looking forward to that one! I'll tell you all about it when we're back and I'll be sure to take a billion photos. :)
Fingers crossed things work out with the cottage so that we can finally settle somewhere are have our little dog. Oh I so hope so. Have you ever had your heart ache with longing for something? Well, that's me.
