Easter goodies.

Hello! Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers out there. :) I hope you've had a lovely day. (Since I'm writing this late in the day... In fact, nearly midnight, eek!)

This week has mainly been about Easter makes using 2 of the 3 little bear heads I made last week. :) The 3rd one doesn't want anything to do with Easter and will get his accessories tomorrow and Tuesday I think. It should be fun. :)

So, first up was a little Easter Egg Bunny Bear in lovely pastel shades.

And her video:

She's in my Etsy shop waiting for her home. :)

Next I made a bunny bear with a little basket full of eggs and a sweet little chick friend! It took quite a while to make those tiny eggs but they look so pretty in the basket. It's the last one I had, I bought a set of 3 a few years ago. I'll have a look for some more though since it's nice to have for certain things! Plus, who doesn't love miniatures?!

I've also made another sloth, for someone's birthday, which will be posted tomorrow.

I love making these, like the Orangutans they have great personalities. :) Also loving wrapping things up more than ever thanks to the purple gift boxes!

This week I've been drinking some warm water with lemon and ginger and sweetened with a little honey in the mornings. It's been nice and helps to wake me up! I'm hoping it'll do some nice things for my insides too. I'm still drinking and loving the hibiscus tea, and have hardly had any normal tea at all. (Which means no cookies = steps in the right direction!)

I received my order of healthy bits and bobs to add to my mornings too, so I've been having overnight oats with 0% fat Greek yogurt, chia seeds, desiccated coconut, frozen cherries and cacao powder. So delicious! I've also got some walnuts and acai powder and frozen blueberries to try and to mix things up a bit! The bad thing is I've been enjoying it so much I've been having a bowl of mashed banana with cacao, yogurt and honey in the evenings for a sweet fix as it's been so nice! I might need to start calorie counting, as it's all very well adding good things in to my diet but going overboard with them is terrible. :P

Tonight I cooked Jambalaya and used the coconut oil for the first time. It smelt heavenly while it was cooking and it didn't alter the taste too much so I'll definitely try it with other things. :) I'm going to be making another order for some spices and things, and possibly some tea leaves and other fruit powders... I have to be so careful as I want to try so many things in there and will en up bankrupt if I don't rein myself in! I can see myself buying a new little teapot, with a strainer and trying some different blends of tea. I read that hibiscus and raspberry is very nice.

On Wednesday I had to head back into town to get a 24hour blood pressure monitor fitted by the nurse and she took some blood too to test for various things.

Believe it or not, I don't actually own any tops or tshirts with short loose fitting sleeves! So I asked Martin, who has lots, for something that'd be way too big for him so that it might fit me. ;) This is what he found:

It was perfect! We've just started watching The Big Bang Theory on Netflix so it appealed to me right away. :) It must be my inner Sheldon. Plus it was huge so I could easily get it on and off and didn't have to worry about having the BP monitor on when wearing it. Went back on Thursday to get it off and the results were still showing high so I have another doctors appointment on Wednesday. My blood tests were also back, already! My white blood cell count was high which could just mean infection or illness but because I feel so rubbish most of the time anyway I couldn't really pinpoint anything that it could be, so will need more tests for that. Hoping the doctor can do both on Wednesday.

And that's about it! I'll continue trying to eat better and make better choices, and adding new things in and removing bad stuff as and when I can. I also quite fancy trying to spin wool. I've no idea where that urge came from and I don't know what I'd do with spun wool, but I think it'd be fun to try! I'll buy myself a wee drop spindle and give it a go. :)

Bye for now,
