Easter.

A few months ago I had a dream. In this dream were baby bears in a forest, some wrapped in leaves, some in flower petals and one was under a large toadstool. Everything was green and I could almost smell the woods! It felt very tranquil. I wrote it down in my list of things to needle felt at some point but it took me a while to get round to making any of them. I finally made this sleepy little one:

It took a while to sew all the little leaves but it was worth it I think, I am happy with how he turned out. :) I added a "drop of dew" and a daisy. I like to think that he has just woken up and is listening to the sounds of the forest... And probably thinking about breakfast if he is any relation to me. ;)

My next make was an Easter one. I say every year that I will get stuff done in time, but it's nearly always last minute. Still, I like the pastel shades of lemon, pale pink, white and darker pink of this made to hang Easter bunny egg!

Since then I've been working on getting some stock sorted out for a new venture. It is very exciting. I've made a good start so far, but still have lots I'd like to try.

First came Nessies!

I have always believed in the Loch Ness Monster to some extent. I think it's completely possible! I probably would admit (rather sadly) that she's probably long gone now though, but at some point, there was such a thing.

Next thing on my list was to make up 50 necklaces. It took a couple of days, the first putting them together and then yesterday was a full day of printing, punching, folding, securing, washi taping and then cellophaning! It was a lot of fun, and so nice to see them all laid out together!

Lot of work and I have an aching body today, so a day off is required to recover.

I am very excited about the new venture and feel very lucky to have been asked to join in with it, I'm looking forward to seeing things in action and see how it pans out. :) I'll blog about it nearer the time, but for now I will keep busy with making!

Thanks for reading, and Happy Easter!
