We had a wonderful Christmas Day! We were spoilt rotten and have some new pots and bakeware for our new house (assuming we find one... keeping it in their boxes till then) From my parents and my lovely Martin got me 2 dvd box sets! Those'll keep me going for ages. :) I do like dvds for Christmas as they last a long time and can be watched again and again. I got him a new shaver as his old one had a dodgy charger... Not an exciting gift, but hopefully something that'll be used And useful. :)
After we opened our presents we called his family and I spoke to them on the phone for the first time (I know, it's been well over a year since he moved here... I'm terrible) and I was shaking like a leaf but they were all so lovely! My dad called straight after and my mum texted (from work) while we were on the phone.
Next we watched National Lampoons Christmas Vacation!
Then after a few hours it was food time. :) Martin did it all, and it was amazing. I only helped with the stuffing which I prepared the night before. I don't mind cooking but I don't do well when there's lots of things on the go at once, I get flustered and tired and make mistakes. I usually cook the normal meals and he does the big ones. He does roasts really well!
After food we watched Polar Express... Though I fell asleep during it. I tried so hard not to but it was cold and were under a blanket with full tummies, I really couldn't help it!
In the evening we had flanned to watch Love Actually with our Sticky Chocolate Cake/pudding... But we couldn't manage the cake so the film didn't get watched. Hoping we'll manage it tonight instead. It's still Christmas here. ;)
At bedtime we heard next doors puppy barking outside and it was very late so we were a bit worried about him, plus we'd not seen him in ages. We let him in here for a few minutes and he seemed older, and quiet and even a little fearful at first. We gave him lots of love and eventually he came out of his shell a little and I even got a puppy tummy to rub as he rolled over for me! Best Christmas Ever. :)
