Oops, I didn't realise I'd not blogged since the 17th!
So, a quick catch up since the last post. I made the cutest Purple Unicorn Cupcake! She is in my Etsy shop or I can send a PayPal invoice. I still have a 30% off sale too, so things are great prices at the moment. :)
Next I was asked to make a little green dragon and a bear face brooch, which of course I did and now they are in their new home. The bear brooch has even been through a thorough initiation of being slobbered on to welcome him to his new home! :) (Slobber not shown.)
Next up I made a bunch of keyrings with each of my designs on. I will get round to adding these to my Etsy shop at some point, though I'm not really looking forward to the task as it'll be a slow one! If you want one please contact me and I'll PayPal you!
Yesterday we went out for the day with my parents.
We went to somewhere we'd not been before (though, there was some debate about this between my parents... My dad being adamant that we had been many years ago and my mum not agreeing. I had no memory of the place.) and had a bit of a walk.
It was sunshiny but cold and we had some hailstones which hurt our cold faces as they pelted us. I quite enjoyed it, not so much the pain but the experience of walking in them! The hood went straight up of course so it wasn't so bad, plus it didn't last very long. I'd rather it had been snow.
We had a map and some directions, but really we just wandered for a bit and went to the cafe for a hot drink when we got too cold. Oh and there might have been cake. It might even have been a Millionaires Shortcake. Yum.
The place we went are known for their snowdrops and my mum bought a couple of plants to put in her garden.
The river was a bit dirty!
But it was nice to have some fresh air and be somewhere different. :)
I debated whether or not to show this photo with my double chin on full view, but I figure one day it'll make me realise how well I've done when the weight does start coming off again. :)
Though, things like this do not help with that mission!
I had steak pie for dinner and it was nice enough and it may not look it but my god it was huge! Under the pastry the dish was full of gravy and huge chunks of meat and I'm really not used to eating that sort of thing anymore, or so much of it. I'll need to be careful and order something smaller next time as I was forcing myself to eat it towards the end. :( I always feel so bad for wasting things. I wish smaller portions of these things were available as I don't want to be limited to sandwiches, soup or salad! Still, I'll figure something out as I enjoy eating out. :)
Till next time!
