I love St Andrews, but it's confusing to drive around. I'm so glad I don't drive. My poor mum took us to the Botanical Gardens there yesterday but we did get a tiny bit lost at first.
The weather wasn't amazing, but it didn't rain on us as we walked round.
It's really nice there, peaceful, green and the smells! Oh the smells... Ranging from flowery to curry to pine needles. There's lots to see and smell.
They've added lots of things for children to look out for too. There was even a Graffulo trail. :)
And this building was still in the works, but it's going to be an outdoor classroom.
So many pretty flowers, it must take a lot of upkeep.
And a huge amount of happy buzzy bees!
The obligatory "us" picture. :)
Lovely little bits for walking. I wish we'd taken a picnic and stayed for hours!
Thankfully the spider wasn't home here, but it'd been busy!
I was in my element! I'm not a very exciting photographer and definitely lacking skill, but I really enjoy it.
I would totally live in St Andrews if I could but it's so incredibly expensive. (And posh. And full of students.) Every second shop is somewhere to eat. There's lots of Italian restaurants and Mexican and it's just right up my street! We didn't eat there though as my parents like none of that stuff. Or people.
So instead we went to one of our usual pubs, in Crail. It's really nice there, and quite quiet which suits us.
I ordered lasagne. I'd not had it in years and it was sooo good! Very cheesy, which I loved. ;)
Martin had the steak pie.
All in all, a very nice day of fresh, clean air and then home again with full tummies. :)
Today I finished off this one:
I am very happy with him! He loves to tell his teddy stories while they share a sandwich together. Sometimes they have a wee cuddle. :) He'll be in my Etsy shop in a little while, but everything I make is available to be bought by PayPal invoice too. £2 of the sale price will be donated to Cancer Reasearch UK.
I took some new photos of this guy today too.
I've updated his Etsy listing and £2 of his sale price will be donated to the RNLI.
I'm hoping to get a little crochet done soon. I've put my ripple blanket to the side for now and have started with granny squares. The long rows on the blanket were putting me off and I wasn't doing it as often as I'd like and because it's supposed to be something to do in my downtime I wanted something a bit less taxing. Hopefully granny squares will be good for me!
