I've been back to making the little felted paintings again. I have a huge list of things to "paint" with the wool and I keep adding more to it too! I don't think I'll ever run out of ideas for these. :) (Though, sometimes I wish I was actually painting them with paint as it might be easier sometimes. It can be so tricky to get the little details on them! I'm not the best at painting but it's made me want to try again now and then.)
First was a little Koala, who is now in my Etsy shop if you'd like to buy him!
I received 4 lovely photos from someone who bought a tiny bear from me recently. She had previously bought a dragon and she took photos of their meeting, so incredibly sweet. I have the best customers. :)
Next was a bit of a different kind of bear for me. I had trouble with his eyes and the more I try to fix them the worse it gets usually... Also the wool really tightens up and it becomes hard to work with so I chose to stop here and call him done. He isn't perfect, but he has character. :)
Then there was a little robin. I do love them, such a pretty little bird!
Followed the next day by a couple of heart-shaped swans. :)
Then a happy dolphin. :)
Today I woke up late and was feeling like a zombie after having a bad day yesterday. Poor Martin had been ill the night before and I'd not been able to sleep as I was worried about him. Then in the morning when I wanted to sleep I had to be up for the postie who was bringing my tripod so I could make my video... But when it arrived it was broken. I'm getting a refund, but will have to get another one from somewhere so I can still make the video! So all in all, not the best of days yesterday and a little has leaked over to today as I really struggled with getting up this morning (from lack of sleep the day and night before) and then it was a bit difficult to get going with work. Still, I got there and I made a little sandcastle:
And following on with the beach theme I made this one:
With real shells that I collected last year on holiday and beads sewn on for sparkle and texture. :) I'm thinking I could also just do them with one shell and then have initials "in the sand" and they'd make nice personalised gifts. See, so many options with these. :)
Lately we've been indulging in food a bit too much and so I've been trying to eat better. In amongst the crisps and cake and ice cream I have been trying to add more salads into my diet. Can't say I'm loving them but I'm trying at least! :)
In the next few days we'll head into town to pick up a tripod as I don't think I want to chance another broken one. Some of our gadgets and things have been acting up and sometimes it seems like everything is going to pack in at the same time. I'm hoping so hard that it doesn't all happen at once as it'll be too expensive to replace them all! Sometimes I wish I wasn't so reliant on technology and other times I am so grateful for it because let's face it, I'd not be writing this right now to share with you, would I? :)
