A little fishy.

My weekend has been slightly different this week as usually I have Sunday off, but I was so tired yesterday I didn't manage to get anything done! I'm all sorted now though which is great as I love to start fresh on a Monday morning. :) I don't know why people hate Monday's so much, I enjoy them!

Last Monday I managed to get a bright enough photo of (some of) my wool collection to show you all, as I know there are many wool lovers out there! I'm very happy with how they look in the drawers now and I'm kicking myself for not doing it this way sooner as it's much easier to find what I want now.

Also on Monday I took a much better photo of my strawberry pincushion and I can now tell you, after a week of use that I love it and it's been so handy! I've not lost or at least misplaced any needles nor have I sat on any, result!

I had my first custom order of the year for a fox, which I was happy to make as it was on my To Do list anyway. :)

And I made a little fishy to travel with the fox, as the customers son is Finding Nemo obsessed at the moment! It's always nice to make something new.

We had a day out with my parents on Thursday, the first of the year. It was so cold so most of it was spend in the car though unfortunately. We had fish and chips from our favourite place and the short walk we did manage rewarded us with a buzzard running around in a field.

On Friday I started a new unicorn in purple shades.

But I wasn't able to finish her that day and Saturday had to be a rest day.

I finished her today but haven't yet got any photos as it was dark by the time she was done.

Also today I made a batch of cheese scones as a sort of experiment. My mum and myself are very fond of them but we find it hard to find decent ones to buy. A lot of places use a sweet mix and just sprinkle cheese on top, which we don't like! After testing (ie, Martin and me eating them all between us) we decided they were very nice and will be made again!

Now that I've managed to get the unicorn finished I am free to start something new tomorrow. I'm not sure what yet, I'll have to look through my list and see what takes my fancy! :) Actually, that sounds fun, I will do that now before settling in front of the TV.
